Having an outlet to move or purchase product, at the right time, delivers tremendous economic value. Escalating trends in brand conversion, marketer consolidation and cancellation of branded contracts have pushed our nation’s dead inventory volume to record levels. <p>With the base oil and finished lube price run up of earlier this year, we are now seeing price reductions with group I and possibly group II and III. Inventory management of higher priced inventories being replaced by lower priced products will cause many marketers to significantly reduce inventory to take advantage of the price decreases.
